Announcing Unorderedlist

It gives me great pleasure to announce the release of my newest creation - unorderedlist.net. For now the site will function mainly as a local web development job board, with other content bound to emerge soon.

Unorderedlist.net logo

This project has been a long time coming, as I have contemplated implementing a decent job board on several occasions. After recently talking things over with a few of the local developers, I decided the time is more than right.

All of the job ads can be added free of charge, but for companies which feel they are in desperate need of new blood I have set up a payed service (the selected add remains on the top of the list for a month) for a small fee.

Also an API is in the works which will enable users to add, fetch and show only the ads they want to display.

Marko Mrdjenovic (a local web developer and brainstorming buddy) has already jumped on the bandwagon and created a Yahoo pipe to get all the jobs in a JSON feed. More info.

T-shirts with the UL (unorderedlist) logo have been designed but are currently out of stock. A new batch should be available fairly soon. For now you can admire them on flickr.

gravatarI can't read anything on it, but then again I just know English...either way, I like the layout and simplicity of it. Too many job sites have WAY too much junk on every page, your site is much much easier to look at. Nice work, but that is a given.

gravatarThanks Kyle. Yeah, the whole website is in Slovene, forgot to mention :)

gravatarCongrats! I somehow stumbled upon the
domain a year ago, and I figured you'll
try to make another Technorati, but this
is finally something welcome. Personally,
I'm glad you didn't make another Blogorama.

As for the index of Slovenian web apps:
Me and a co-worker had been rolling it
through three different concepts already..
I'll take your post as an incentive to ship it
as soon as he gets back from vacation and
ping you when it's online ;-)

I've already mentioned to Žiga that the logo
may be a bit too similar to Ordered List, but
there's probably so much you can do with
a list, hehe. Your's is the better one neway.

Once again, congrats for the grand opening!

P.s.: I take it you still hadn't found the time
to swap captcha with Akismet.. It didn't
work out for you? Or too much work? :-P
